Day 42: Scissors & Glue
An analogue collage from found paper.

The principle
Collage builds images from fragments. Tearing and cutting paper introduces chance, texture and juxtaposition — two things that do not belong together, placed side by side, create a third meaning. Working by hand slows you down and lets accidents happen that software would correct.
Objective. Create meaning through juxtaposition of found materials.
The brief
Design an analogue collage poster for an imaginary radio station, using cut or torn paper from magazines, packaging or newspapers.
Constraints
- Physical materials only — scissors, glue and paper
- Use at least five different sources
- Add type by hand, by cutting letters, or digitally after scanning
- Scan or photograph the final piece
You're done when
- A cohesive collage from varied sources
- Meaningful juxtapositions
- A clear connection to the subject
Stretch goal
Limit yourself to only one colour of paper source and create variety through texture alone.
