The principle
Photography in design is not just about technical quality — it is about choice: angle, light, crop and background. An ordinary object photographed with intent can become iconic. The designer’s job is to see something familiar as if for the first time.
Objective. Use your own photography to elevate an everyday object.
The brief
Photograph an everyday object you own and design a poster that presents it as if it were in a museum.
Constraints
- The photograph must be your own
- A single object
- Consider background, lighting and angle carefully
- Add a title and a short, museum-style caption
You're done when
- An original, considered photograph
- The object feels elevated
- Type and image work together
Stretch goal
Photograph the object in three lighting conditions and use all three on the poster.
