The principle
Posters increasingly live on screens. Motion adds a new dimension: timing, sequence and transformation. A kinetic poster should still work as a still frame, but motion can reveal information in stages, create rhythm or bring a static idea to life.
Objective. Add purposeful motion to a poster.
The brief
Design an animated poster for a dance festival that loops in under ten seconds.
Constraints
- Loop of ten seconds or less
- Every frame must work as a still
- Motion must serve the message
- Any tool — After Effects, Figma prototype, code, or frame-by-frame
You're done when
- A smooth, purposeful loop
- Strong still frames
- Motion that suits the subject
Stretch goal
Make the poster respond to sound or user input.
