Day 28: Colour from Life
Build a palette from your own photograph.

- 45–60 minutes

The principle
The world is full of colour relationships that already work: a market stall, a rusted door, a sunset over a car park. Sampling colours from your own photographs trains you to see colour in context and gives you palettes that feel lived-in rather than generated.
Objective. Observe and extract a palette from the real world.
The brief
Photograph a scene from your day, sample four or five colours from it, and use that palette for a poster about the place.
Constraints
- The photograph must be your own
- Sample four or five colours
- Use only the sampled colours
- The photo itself does not need to appear on the poster
You're done when
- A palette clearly derived from the photograph
- Thoughtful proportions
- A poster that evokes the place
Stretch goal
Show the palette as a small strip on the poster, like a colour record.
